Join Inis Ull Apple Isle Grove as we honor Mannanan Mac Lir, the great Celtic God of the Sea.
Because Mannanan has requested a ritual by the water, and because we will be sharing this ritual with the Paumonok Island Protogrove from Long Island, we will be conducting this ritual at Bayswater Park in Bayswater, Queens. The park is a short walk from either the Beach 36th St. or the Beach 25th St. A train station. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT BAYSWATER POINT STATE PARK. This is a small community park in Bayswater, on Jamaica Bay. Walk past the ball field and follow the path to the water. Additional photos and a map will be posted below in the Discussion.
We will be doing a purification with sea water, and will be wading into the water of Jamaica Bay as moved to do so throughout the ritual, so please dress accordingly.
Please feel free to bring what ever offerings you like for Mannanan, the gods, the ancestors and such. Also please do remember that, if you bring any alcoholic beverages as offerings, to keep them in a non descript container.
***Also bring non perishable food donations****
