In Ancient Greece, this was the time of the departure of Persephone. Their dry season was about to begin, and their harvest was at an end. However, because we are in a different climate, we celebrate the essence of the Mysteries as they are expressed in our city.

Come celebrate Imbolg with ADF Inis Ull Apple Isle Grove.

Imbolg is when we turn our minds towards the hope of spring, even though we are in the middle of winter. It's the coldest time of the year, but the sun is coming back and already frozen waters are beginning to thaw. As the trees begin to shed their old branches, we too start the process of Spring Cleaning. Brigid is traditionally called on at this time.

Attention Druids and friends, Happy New Year!!! You are all invited to attend our Imbolc planning meeting this Sunday January 10, 2016 at 1pm. We will be meeting at Abbey Pub located at 237 W 105 Street. Imbolc is planned for January 31st. No experience necessary and bring your inspiration and creativity. See you there!!!

Inis Úll - Apple Isle Grove, ADF cordially invites you to our 2015 Lughnasa High Day celebration: Caorthannach and The Fruits of Our Harvest. The ritual will take place on Saturday, August 8th at 3pm on the Great Hill in Central Park. The great serpent Goddess Caorthannach was vilified and (quite literally) demonized by Patrick and his conspirators. They feared her primal powers which could surge from deep within the earth or bolt from the sky above. Even worse, from their point of view, she would never allow herself to be subjected by their doctrinal patriarchy.
