Inis Úll - Apple Isle Grove, ADF cordially invites you to our . The rite will take place on Saturday, November 1st, 2p.m. at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, 16th Floor, Room 16i.

Long, long ago, the Great Goddess Ceridwen brewed the potion of Awen in her mystical Cauldron, intending to give the blessings to her son, Morfran. But through the workings of chance or fate, the gifts of this magic went to a youngster named Gwion Bach instead. With his new wisdom, Gwion fled the scene, knowing that Ceridwen would pursue him. Throughout the chase, the pair shapeshifted into various forms until, finally, the Goddess captured and, indeed, consumed the lad. Gwion’s story did not end there, however. After the chase, Ceridwen discovered she was pregnant with Gwion, who would be reborn of her as the great bard, Taliesin. In our Samhain working, we will take the place of Gwion, allowing the Goddess to chase us through a series of transformations until we enter the darkness of her womb. There, we shall await our evolutionary rebirth when the season of light returns. We will each try to capture a particular image or symbol that occurs to us during the guided journey. Afterwards, we shall draw these images or symbols and divine the Goddess’s blessings by interpreting them as a group. We will then ask Ceridwen to infuse the power of her blessings into the drawings, which we shall take home and add to our personal altars, place under our pillows, or put to whatever use we each feel is appropriate.

Please bring offerings for the Great Goddess Ceridwen and any of the other Welsh Kindreds you wish to honor. What makes a good offering? Perhaps some food or drink, a poem or song or piece of art, an oath… Allow inspiration to guide you!

The grove will be asking for donations ten dollars per person to cover the cost of the rental space. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds - your participation is more valuable than cash!
