Come join us on Sunday August 4 on the Great Hill in the North section of Central Park to celebrate Lughnasadh - The First Harvest.
In many Celtic traditions, people hike up hills and mountains to celebrate the Holy Days to celebrate the day or seek the sun's first light. So we will go on a pilgrimage, not up a hill, but rather into a labyrinth - a triskelion. We will turn in and out and end up in the middle to do the central part of our ritual. In our pilgimage in the labyrinth we will seek Lugh's help to bring balance to the inner and outer of our lives, give our offerings to the earth and celebrate the first fruits.
Bring offerings of food and drink. We recommend that you use generic bottles and containers if you are bring alcoholic offerings.
We will also accepting donation of non-perishable food for the West Side Campaign Against Hunger.
